Tests on Fresh Concrete

Fresh concrete(i.e not hardened) is very vulnerable to segregation and many other factors. To control the vulnerable factors various tests are required to be done on fresh concrete. These tests are easy and can be applied on field. Some of the tests are based on assumptions only and therefore there are some standard applied values that must be used while assuming the data. For example, you may need to know the standard values to determine the workability of concrete. Often slump test is used in field to determine the workability of concrete.

There are many tests that may be necessary to do in fresh concrete. But the most commonly used tests are-
